Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026 · Website and invitation-based beta
This policy describes CraveSeek’s current website and beta app. For privacy questions or requests, contact [email protected].
Information you provide
- Account information: your email, authentication details and profile information you choose to provide, such as your display name.
- Meal plans and participation: invitations, RSVPs, cuisine preferences, votes, restaurant choices, concerns, and booking information submitted to a shared plan.
- Dining preferences and feedback: favorites, Want to Try, Don’t Recommend, ratings, reviews, and dining history you save.
- Support requests: the information you send us when asking for help. Do not send passwords, authentication codes or payment-card details.
Location and restaurant discovery
You can choose a search area manually. If you grant location permission in the mobile app, CraveSeek can use your location to prioritize nearby results. You can change that permission in your device settings. Restaurant searches use search criteria and location information to retrieve results from Google Places through CraveSeek’s backend. Confirm opening hours, allergens and other important details directly with the restaurant.
How information is used
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide restaurant discovery, coordinate shared meal plans, personalize suggestions using available preferences and dining signals, track feature access and discovery allowances, and respond to account or support requests. Beta registration is not a subscription to marketing emails.
What other people can see
Meal planning is collaborative. Participants in a plan can see the information needed to participate, including relevant names, choices, votes, plan activity and booking details. Social and review features may show information you submit to other members. Do not put sensitive personal information in plan names, reviews or shared booking notes.
Service providers and technical data
- Cloudflare Pages hosts the website and processes technical request information needed to serve and protect it.
- Supabase provides authentication, database and backend services. Website registration submits your password directly to Supabase over HTTPS; the static registration page does not intentionally store it.
- Google Places provides restaurant search and place details.
- Expo notification services support app notifications when enabled. Device notification tokens are used to deliver notifications.
- Unsplash supplies the website’s dining photographs. Loading them makes requests to Unsplash, which can receive technical information such as your IP address.
Providers may process information outside your province or country. The website’s marketing pages do not require a sign-in. Account and password-recovery flows process authentication information needed to complete your request.
Complimentary Plus and payments
New beta members receive 30 days of complimentary Plus while the promotion is active. CraveSeek stores feature-access status and expiry information to apply the promotion. It does not create a paid subscription. Paid subscriptions are not currently available, this website has no checkout, and complimentary access does not renew or generate an automatic charge.
Your choices and requests
You can choose not to create an account, control location and notification permissions in device settings, and contact [email protected] about access to, correction of, or deletion of your information. We may need to verify account ownership before acting on a request.
You can submit an authenticated account deletion request. Submission records a request and does not immediately erase your account. Shared dinner records need review so that removing your information does not expose other members’ data or break their plans. We retain information needed to operate your account and shared features and to address legitimate security and operational requirements; contact Support for questions about specific records.
Security and updates
Keep your password private and use an email address you control. No online service can guarantee absolute security. This policy may be updated as the beta changes; the effective date above identifies the current version. Changes to payment services or data practices will require updated disclosures before those services are made available.
